It will continue its activities with its talented staff of people and leadership teams in three independent countries creating unique business units under the Axians redtoo brand.
Zurich/Reinach, 13 December 2016. VINCI Energies Switzerland, one of the country’s leading group for electrical installation and building technology, is taking over the Swiss redtoo group, including its branches in the Czech Republic and the USA. The independent consulting and IT service company, which has been established for many years, is complementing the Axians portfolio, a brand of VINCI Energies Switzerland, and allows the group to grow to more than 500 employees and an annual revenue of more than USD 100 mio. redtoo customers will profit from the tailor-made interaction of optimized business processes and efficient technology combined with the complementary portfolio of Axians.
Strategic alignment in the digital age
Rarely have the requirements for an IT service provider changed as much as in the last twelve months. Industry 4.0, digitalization, cloud, mobility and collaboration as well as consulting experience beyond IT are the challenges that modern IT companies face each day. Cross-fertilization, following the customer and nearshoring are just some of the topics that will impact the future success not only of large IT providers. The demand for increasingly comprehensive solutions from a single source, exceeding the range of traditional IT service providers, continues to grow. Mergers of similarly positioned IT companies can no longer be counted on to fulfill this need. As we move forward, only companies with a highly complementary portfolio, and many years of experience can reliably ensure the bridging between the digital revolution and the process needs of their customers.
Succession as the catalyst
In recent years, the founder, owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of redtoo ag, Philipp Oser, has intensively aligned his company to focus on the new market requirements. With the inter-nationalization of redtoo ag, the first steps were successfully launched and established over four years ago. In order to guarantee the long-term stability and at the same time to ensure the greatest possible flexibility moving forward, Philipp Oser also decided to include a controlled and sustainable succession plan with a strategic partnership.
After more than a year of careful analysis, discussions, negotiations, and planning, VINCI Energies Switzerland was identified as the perfect candidate for this partnership. The strategies and visions of the two companies proved to be extremely congruent, and the offerings within the joint portfolio are absolutely compatible. “The services offered by redtoo – combined with the portfolio of the VINCI IT companies – is complementary and unique to today’s market. This ensures internal and external efficiency and speed,” Philipp Oser, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of redtoo ag, emphasizes the value of the transaction.
„veni – vidi – vinci“
“Since the foundation of VINCI Energies Switzerland, we have successfully managed to build leading market positions for high and low-voltage installations (ETAVIS), industrial automation (Actemium) and telecom infrastructure (Axians) across Switzerland. With the new entry of the redtoo group, we are now taking a strong market position for complex ICT solutions and can exploit the full synergy potential between ETAVIS, Actemium, and Axians. This is an ideal starting point for our group of companies to present consistent solutions to our customers for the realization of the digitalization, also called Industry 4.0” Thomas Ernst, CEO of VINCI Energies Switzerland is looking forward to the new opportunities of the group. With redtoo ag Reinach, Axians is significantly expanding its presence in north-western Switzerland. The business units of redtoo in the Czech Republic and the USA also serve Axians as a springboard for new markets. The “Global Service Center” of redtoo in Brno (CZ) will be a focal point and complement the group’s offerings in the future as a highly com-petetive nearshoring center for managed services.
After successful completion of the transaction, the integration into VINCI Energies Switzerland will be implemented promptly. For the customers of redtoo and Axians, nothing will change as a result of the transaction and the management, as well as the contacts, remain. The services provided so far are continued and expanded by additional ones.
